To continue children’s education at home we have implemented a variety of ways for pupils to access educational resources and support from their class teacher. We would like to encourage parents to work together with their child to support them during this time and thank you for your help.

Below you will find a document outlining the various home learning strategies we have put in place and also instructions for parents on how to access the google classroom, our virtual learning environment.

Pupil Wellbeing

We are aware that many young people and families are experiencing worries about the current situation. Below you will find some workbooks from our School Wellbeing Worker with positive activities for their emotional wellbeing.

There are also some sites offering reassurances to young people about Covid19.

Picture News

Picture News is a resource we use in school and enables pupils to learn about our world, develop independence, resilience, respect and unlock their own drive and passion for learning. Teaching the news not only provides great content and stimulus and grips children's attention, it is also something that the children can impact. It is current, happening now and so their voice is given meaning and purpose. It is our world and we all matter.

Each week we will upload the news for the week and in the attachments below you will find the photo of the week along with the newspaper for children to read. Picture News has also provided parents with home learning ideas linked to it. There is also guidance and a recording sheet for EYFS parents.
